What Does Good Quality Mean?

The term “good quality” is used regularly in the safety market, especially when talking about hand protection.

But what does it actually mean?

At Stop'N'Go we’ve spent a lot of time creating a range of gloves that offer real value to the market. We like to describe them as “high quality”.

We define “high quality” as:

- A product that provides protection against the hazards and risks that operatives face in their workplace. Ideally a “high-quality” range will provide a wide range of different protection levels to meet all requirements.

- Is durable and functional in the workplace. Gloves should last for a reasonable amount of time to allow teams to get the most value out of them as possible; they should also function properly in the workplace, considerations like grip are key at this point.

- They should be comfortable. The workers should LIKE wearing their protective kit, this way they’re much more likely to wear it and be protected.

Of the 3 considerations above, we strongly believe that the most important is the last.

Comfort and wearability are the most overlooked factors in whether a product will protect workers.

If a glove provides excellent protection, durability and functionality but is horrible to wear then the likelihood is that it won’t be worn at the critical point when the protection is needed.

The most effective way of solving this is to build comfort into and protection right from the initial design, prototyping and manufacture stages.

This is something that Stop'N'Go pride ourselves on.

We’ve created a range of gloves that protects from workplace risks, actively prevents accidents (the only gloves to do so) and are also comfortable and preferred by the operatives.
